Currently pursuing a PhD in Physics.
Most of the time, I am coding and scribbling down equations. Beyond the lab, I enjoy walking in nature, travelling, chess, and reading. I keep a small archive of notes, photos, and writing here.
Notes
Dr. Tijmen Euser
Lots of overlap with labworks. Generally not a challenging course and rather boring.
Prof Pietro Cicuta
Deemed by many as the most poorly taught course. Concepts are revisited in practicals but synergy is lacking.
Prof. Claudio Castelnovo
Very well taught with engaging blackboard style. A rigorous introduction with operators and matrices.
Prof. Andrew Jardine
Taught in Easter term with lots of content but little time to absorb. Challenging course.
Prof. Oleg Brandt
Excellent lectures with frequent live demonstrations. Fun and challenging.
Prof Mike Payne
Broad range from orbits and rigid bodies to elasticity and fluid dynamics. Lighter on Lagrangian and Hamiltonian mechanics than expected.
Prof John Ellis
Heavy course full of interesting ideas, amplified by Prof Ellis's philosophical detours.
Work in progress.
